Week 23 in the Middle! . . .

Blazer Spirit - 2016 MS/HS CEESA Swim Meet:

The campus is buzzing with activity and excitement as we welcome 220 swimmers from 14 schools this weekend to the largest swim meet in CEESA history.  Sincere thanks go out to all members of our community for your support of this event.  Congratulations and best of luck to our Middle School AISB CEESA Swim Team for your group and individual achievements thus far - we are proud of you!!  Go Blazers!

Progress Report Update:

Middle School teachers have provided an update for all students in relation to academic reporting criteria and Habits of Learning.  The report is now live and we would like to encourage all parents and students to review the report together at home.  Should you wish to discuss specifics in any particular subject area, please feel free to contact teachers directly.  Our next update will go live before Parent Teachers conferences which takes place on April 1st.

Student Life Update:

What a Spirit Week we've just had! A huge thank you to the Blazer Spirit Club for organizing a great week to support our basketball and swim teams. This weekend's swim meet will be the biggest event we have ever hosted with over 200 athletes competing in the pool.

The AMIS ( Association for Music in International Schools) Honor Girls Choir Festival is right around the corner! Over 100 singers from 11 schools from around the World will be coming to sing their hearts out for our community. On Saturday, April 2, we will have the opportunity to come and listen to the AMIS Choir starting at 6:30. We are hoping the AISB Middle School Community will respond massively to our appeal and attend the concert! Our goal is to get 200 guests to come and hear the choir sing.

This coming Tuesday, we are honored to receive the visit of our 8th grade Service Learning partner the Gyengenlatok School (School for the partially sighted). They will be spending the day with their AISB partners who have devised a series of activities which take into account their partner's visual impairment.

Last but not least, please remember that  Friday, March 11th is a big day for the Middle School Community! At lunch, students will hear a presentation on Spring activities & sports followed by our Winter Co-Curricular ceremony, a spaghetti dinner and finally our awesome Friday Fun Frenzy.

Have a great weekend,

Marc Lavoie
Middle School Student Life Coordinator / M.S French
