German Class Performance

Lea?  Nein Danke!  Parents, students and teachers enjoyed a lively and impressive performance by our MS 6/7 Advanced German class on Friday in the Theatre.  Bravo to all students involved!!  Here are our german student thespians in action:

Grade 8 Field Trip:

Our grade 8 students experienced a very informative learning experience on Thursday, November 8th visiting a monument at Freedom Square followed by the Holocaust Museum. At the end of the visit, students had the opportunity to hear the life story of an Auschwitz survivor and participate in a question and answer session.  Students returned to the school in time for reflections and follow up with grade 8 teachers.

Blazer Student Life Update:

The Middle would like to thank the PSA for helping us organize an outstanding Halloween social! We had an all-time record of 207 students attend and they had a blast!

On Wednesday, we commemorated the Hungarian Revolution in our assembly. Students saw a series of pho
tographs that Mrs.Piroska Nagy put together for the occasion. Mrs Nagy also shared stories about her family's experience during that time. Lastly, students listened to a faculty presentation dealing with the current refugee crisis in Europe.

The Winter Activities Program will be sent to all parents this weekend and uploaded to all of the portals. Sign-ups will take place at 7:00 pm on the parents portal on Tuesday, November 10th.

And lastly, best of luck to the 16 Blazer Barkers who will be going out to the Dog Shelter on Saturday morning and shooting a documentary film.

Halloween Social:

Special thanks to our PSA for supporting our social with an amazing array of treats in the faculty dining room . . . our students and staff greatly enjoyed this addition to the first social experience of the year!  Thanks also to our resident student DJ's who kept students groovin' all night!
